Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Multilingual Communication Specialist to join our team at Language Empire. As an Interpreter Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages.

About the Role

This is a self-employed position that requires flexibility and autonomy. You will work with various clients across the UK, providing high-quality interpreting services in multiple settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Check non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence
  • Conduct conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Liaise between service users and providers

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Fluent English language skills and proficiency in another language
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as DPSI or CIOL certification
