Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical outcomes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to patients undergoing anaesthesia.
  • Develop and maintain practical skills required within the speciality, reflecting the philosophy of care.
  • Deliver patient care on a daily basis, utilizing the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centered care delivery.
  • Provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of senior members of the team.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

  • NMC Registration (RGN) with Anaesthetic Qualification.
  • HCPC Registration (ODP).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Practice Supervisor/Assessor training.
  • Recovery Course.

Additional Criteria:

  • Evidence of a good standard of Literacy English language skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional way with people at all levels of understanding.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within agreed policies and procedures.
