Key Responsibilities- Manage IT resources and staff at one of our five College buildings in Liverpool.
- Provide first-line IT support to users on-site, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to meet the needs of our users.
- Ensure the effective management of site resources and allocations.
- Maintain documentation processes and procedures for new and existing site resources, including software catalogues and licenses.
- Facilitate on-site exams, deploying hardware and software as needed.
- Support the teaching of students at college centres, focusing on Technology Enhanced Learning equipment and processes.
- Ensure an appropriate level of support is provided for business support areas, ensuring the continued operation of IT systems.
- Maintain IT equipment to ensure efficient operation and performance levels.
- Demonstrate IT equipment to staff and students, ensuring safe operation.
- Contribute to the achievement of IT Services and College objectives, values, and aims.
- Take proactive responsibility for Health & Safety, ensuring a safe working environment and safe working practices.
- Comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Support cross-college activities as required, such as organizing events or assisting with enrolment.
- Understand roles and responsibilities around safeguarding all learners and contribute to maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Experience of working with colleagues to set quality standards and service standards.
- Experience installing and configuring Microsoft-based operating systems and associated applications/services on desktop equipment at enterprise levels.
- Technical knowledge of network-related protocols and infrastructures, specifically TCP/IP.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting all levels of IT desktop hardware.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
