Nuclear Safety Professionals Wanted

At AWE Plc, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Surety Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an in-house warhead safety assessment capability that supports our strategic objectives.
The role entails delivering warhead safety assessments on time and in full, aligned with company management procedures. You will conduct safety analysis against requirements and standards across the full engineering lifecycle, applying appropriate safety methods, tools, and techniques to a product. Your ability to consider higher-level system and detailed component or material issues will be essential in this role.
You will liaise with a range of stakeholders as part of a wider system design and verification team, balancing conflicting priorities and perspectives. In addition, you may be required to support external activities as part of the Outreach and Engineering Programme, including presentations to external conferences/symposia.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Honours Degree (or equivalent) in science, engineering, or a related discipline. You should also have an interest in high-consequence safety assessments or a desire to develop within a nuclear safety-focused role.
We offer a competitive salary of £29,649 - £75,000 per annum, depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience.
