AWE Plc is currently recruiting for a Defence Nuclear Safety Professional to join the Warhead Engineering Surety Group. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for providing technical assessments and advice on major hazards associated with nuclear and explosive products.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Science or Engineering, with a strong understanding of Defence or Civil nuclear regulations. Previous experience working on munitions and/or nuclear reactors is highly desirable.
This role requires excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to manage your own workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of £62,020 - £98,020 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a 9-day working fortnight, market-leading pension scheme, and flexible working arrangements.
Please note that you will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for this role, which will be funded by AWE Plc. You must also be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
