About the Role

SEI Investments Company is seeking a Financial Services Lawyer to join our team in London. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide support to our asset management and UK private bank businesses, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal advice and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support to the asset management and UK private bank businesses, including negotiation and renegotiation of agreements and commercial relationships.
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including custody, distribution, platform agreements, and terms of business agreements.
  • Contribute to legal and regulatory projects, such as the implementation of the Sustainability Disclosure Regime (SDR) and Diversity and Inclusion in the Financial Services Sector.
  • Escalate appropriate legal and regulatory issues to the Deputy General Counsel.
  • Assist in other matters impacting SEI's activities within the UK office, as needed.
Requirements
  • Junior/mid-level lawyer with strong post-qualification experience within financial services, preferably with in-house experience.
  • Experience in the negotiation of transactional documentation of various financial services agreements.
  • Knowledge of the FCA handbook, including an understanding of key rules governing investment advice and management and outsourcing.
  • Excellent drafting skills, including an eye for detail and the ability to contextualize complex legal matters.
  • First-rate communication skills, able to address both legal and non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to conduct training and disseminate knowledge effectively.
