About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Pro-Tax. As a key member of our Private Client department, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of personal tax advisory work, including writing reports and leading discussions with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of clients with multiple sources of income
  • Dealing with partnerships and high net worth individuals
  • Addressing capital gains tax issues
  • Overseeing the UK tax return filing process for a variety of clients
Requirements
  • Advanced understanding of core private client tax issues
  • Reporting on tax implications of incorporation and self-employment
  • Experience in Self-Assessment and tax computations
  • Demonstrable experience of report writing and advisory work
  • Previous supervisory and management experience
  • Planning for Inheritance Tax mitigation
  • Experience with UK Trusts and Estates
Client Experience
  1. Private clients and proprietors of owner-managed businesses
  2. UK and non-UK based high net worth individuals
  3. Property owning clients using corporate vehicles and trusts
Key Qualities
  1. Strong understanding of clients' attitudes to risk
  2. Ability to communicate complex tax information effectively
Business Development
  1. Leading discussions with clients and presenting tax advice
  2. Evidence of regular referrals to other parts of the business
  3. Commercial judgment in improving efficiency and profitability
Interpersonal Skills
  1. Motivating and enthusing the team to follow firm policies and procedures
