MLRO Job Description

Barbara Houghton Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled MLRO to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bank's anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the bank's AML and CTF policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate AML and CTF risks associated with the bank's business activities.
  • Inspections and Audits: Coordinate and manage inspections and audits by regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees understand AML and CTF compliance requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board on AML and CTF compliance matters.
Requirements:
  • SMF17 Function: Held SMF17 function in previous roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of regulatory and legal framework relating to the business.
