Job Summary

This role is a key leadership position within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for supporting research delivery within health and care settings. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of the regional research delivery network portfolio, identify and address impact on regional health and social inequalities, and support the development of research capacity and capability within their specialty.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic oversight of the regional research delivery network portfolio
  • Support regional portfolio oversight activities, including identifying and addressing impact on regional health and social inequalities
  • Develop and implement strategies to build research capacity and capability within their specialty
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to initiate and facilitate regional cross-specialty and cross-setting collaborations for improved research delivery
  • Contribute to national and regional research delivery strategic development through attendance at national specialty meetings, regional leadership group meetings, and engagement with annual review development processes
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research delivery, with experience in strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of the NHS and research delivery landscape is essential, as is the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
