About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at Hitachi, Ltd. as a key member of our Cyber Security team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implementation of Cyber Security Projects: Assist in the design and implementation of Cyber specific projects and systems, network and security architectures, and delivering sustainable services to maintain the customer specific Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  2. Cyber Security Requirements: Ensure our project and service deliverables meet the defined cyber security requirements outlined between Hitachi Energy and our customers.
  3. Cyber Security Policies and Practices: Introduce new cyber security-related policies, standards, and practices.
  4. Cyber Security Risk Management: Actively contribute to identifying, managing, and reducing cyber security risks.
  5. Technology and Trend Analysis: Anticipate and influence current and future technologies and trends.
  6. Cyber Security Expertise: Represent Hitachi Energy as a cyber security expert in customer discussions.
  7. Cyber Security Knowledge Management: Create, maintain, and share a comprehensive understanding of global cyber security risks and market requirements, including regulations and standards.
  8. On-Call Roster Integration: Integrate into an existing On-Call roster.
  9. Network Diagrams and Architecture: Develop and follow network diagrams and overall network architecture.
  10. Cyber Security Risk Assessments: Participate in cyber security risk assessments as a subject-matter expert.
  11. Customer and R&D Interface: Interface with R&D departments and customers, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
  12. Process Improvement: Identify and capture opportunities for improvement.
  13. Project Management Liaison: Liaise with project management on outage development, providing forecast cost to complete estimates and associated justification to changes in expenditure.
Requirements
  1. University Degree: A university degree within a relevant technical area, preferably Computer Science.
  2. Customer Focus: Demonstrated excellent customer focus experience.
  3. Databases and High-Availability Solutions: Experience with databases and high-availability solutions.
  4. Scripting Languages and Automation Technologies: Experience with scripting languages and automation technologies.
  5. Port-, Vulnerability-, and Malware Scanners: Experience with port-, vulnerability-, and malware scanners, able to digest and communicate the output.
  6. Intrusion Detection Systems and Security Information Event Monitoring: Knowledge of intrusion detection systems, security information event monitoring, application control, and other security-relevant systems is a major plus.
  7. Network Equipment and Redundant Network Designs: Experience with network equipment (firewalls, switches) and redundant network designs and protocols.
  8. Microsoft Client- and Server Operating Systems: Experience with Microsoft client- and server operating systems (virtual and bare metal) from legacy to current generations.
  9. Active Directory and Third-Party Devices: Experience with Active Directory and the different roles, integration with third-party devices and appliances.
  10. Critical Infrastructure Experience: Previous experience from critical infrastructure is also a major plus.
  11. Driving Licence and Security Clearance: Clean full driving licence and security clearance to comply with BS7858:2019.
  12. Language Skills: Fluent written & spoken English.
