About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Design Lead Specialist to join our team at BT Security. As a key member of our Cyber Platform team, you will play a critical role in the build and configuration of our threat hunting and intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead the technical direction of a technical domain in the Cyber Security Engineering unit, including the deployment of cyber capabilities on Network Cloud.
  • Manage the deployment of Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK), Jupyter, and Zeppelin.
  • Manage the Repository (GitLab) and the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Advise the team on platform, infrastructure, and DevOps best practices.
  • Lead on complex technical deliverables, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and resolve vulnerabilities across the platform.
  • Own and provide input into the development and implementation of operational processes, policies, and procedures, including platform and secops processes.
  • Proactively drive forward continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide effective technology coaching and mentoring both inside and outside the team.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to maintain service availability when necessary.
