FPGA Engineering Lead for Advanced Semiconductor Solutions

We are partnering with a leading global semiconductor company based in the UK to seek an experienced FPGA Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the FPGA design flow from RTL design, simulation, synthesis, and place & route.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in RTL skills using Verilog / System Verilog or VHDL.
  • Show understanding of ASIC/SoC prototyping in FPGA.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of debugging sophisticated designs, embedded software, simulation, and hardware.
  • A structured approach to problem-solving with creativity.
  • Experience working with Xilinx UltraScale+ devices and tools.
  • Familiarity with Synplify tool chain for single FPGA implementations.
  • Knowledge of DDR memory sub-systems implementation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as assembly language (Arm assembler), higher-level languages (e.g. C), object-oriented languages (e.g. C++).
  • Familiarity with UNIX environment and shell scripting (e.g. Tcl, Perl, Python).
  • Understanding of Arm IP and AMBA standard.
