About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our data science team as a Data Scientist. You'll lead our data science function and apply your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modelling to drive customer-focused initiatives.

  • You'll work closely with other members of the data guild to ensure alignment on priorities and drive shared initiatives.">
  • Collect, process, and analyse large datasets from multiple sources to extract actionable insights that inform our customer value optimisation and segmentation strategies.">
  • Design and implement performance tracking metrics and dashboards to monitor the success of business initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.">
  • Effectively communicate complex data findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving data-informed decision-making across the organisation.">
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI and Data space and look to share interesting technologies and approaches that Elder could leverage.">

What You'll Need

">
  1. ">
  2. A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred. A Master's or PhD is a plus.">
  3. A minimum 3 years experience delivering business value via data analysis and predictive modelling, preferably in a B2C startup/scaleup setting. Bonus points if you've worked in a marketplace technology business.">
  4. Proficiency in Python, particularly with data science libraries and tools (e.g., ).">
  5. A good understanding of relational databases and ability to extract data from them (in any SQL flavour).">
  6. Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling techniques.">
  7. Experience in owning machine learning projects end-to-end, from design to deployment.">
  8. A comfortable working alone when required but also a strong team player with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.">
