**Job Summary**

Mcphee Staffing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team in Bicester, United Kingdom. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist our Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and contributing to the success of our restaurant.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, including staff supervision and menu planning
  • Develop and implement new menu items, considering customer preferences and seasonal availability
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience.
