We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Environmental Program Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team, you will be responsible for leading EU Launch and Retrofits/Expansions/Initiatives (REI) programs, ensuring environmental compliance throughout the life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- EU EAP Program Ownership: Lead the EU EAP team in developing and implementing strategies to protect environmental compliance in EU Launch and REI programs.
- Standardization and Documentation: Define and document EU EAP standards to integrate environmental activities into Launch and REI processes.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve integration of EU EAP with EU Launch and REI mechanisms.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to track environmental compliance activities and provide insights to leadership.
- Strategic Planning: Define the long-term strategy for collaboration between Amazon and 3P vendors to achieve 3-year compliance goals and bridge current gaps.
- Performance Management: Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage performance, data quality, and cost of Launch and REI programs.
- Financial Management: Establish mechanisms to control spending and performance, and align yearly targets with Finance.
- Technical Influence: Collaborate with tech teams to develop long-term solutions to manage Launch and REI needs from EAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
- Compliance Experience: Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Education: A completed Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or related field of study.
- Leadership and Influence: Experience leading change in multiple site environments (travel up to 50%) and the ability to influence those who are not direct reports or within your organization.
- Project Management Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Advanced Education: Master's degree or equivalent.
