Job Title: Commercial Manager - CSR Construction

Crescent Specialist Recruitment - CSR NI Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in a newly created role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management and a proven track record of delivering commercial benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement commercial and procurement management systems and procedures
  • Evaluate and manage contractual risks and work with the Contract Team to maximise commercial benefits
  • Negotiate and produce subcontractor contracts and rates to deliver budgets and margins
  • Manage pre and post contract commercial and procurement systems and procedures
  • Accurately prepare site measurements and forecasts of cost and value within scope of tender
  • Prepare and manage budgets and capital and operational budget preparation, forecasting and management
  • Report business financial indicators and pro-actively work within Business Development
  • Propose and agree new rates for new scopes of works and produce weekly/monthly reports
  • Claim value against works done for mains and services and manage risk
  • Work with senior managers to plan, forecast and report project commercial performance
Requirements:
  • A degree qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor with main contracting or MEP experience
  • A self-starter with at least 10 yrs previous experience
  • Customer aware and innovative, capable of maximising contract benefits for mutual and long term benefit
  • Track record of exceeding business targets and KPIs
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems at an early stage
  • Accurate with good attention to detail and highly organised
  • A good negotiator and communicator
