As a Systems Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in the further development of the overall IMMS system requirements' design and definition.

In 1977, OSI introduced the first generation electronic chart system for the maritime market and revolutionized navigation. We have a long history of innovation and have had many firsts. Today, we deliver integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft. Our solutions are used by 23 navies totaling more than 600 warships and submarines.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced architect to join our IMMS product team. You will be responsible for executing various system engineering functions throughout the life cycle of the project. This includes defining functional solution needs, producing technical level requirements, performing trade-studies, and documenting designs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Mission Solution functional description;
  2. Define the functional solution needs;
  3. Produce technical level requirements for input to the IMMS product team;
  4. Perform IMMS solution definition;
  5. Execute market analysis of full MMS solutions and MMS subsystems;
  6. Develop system designs, define systems architecture, define interfaces and specification, perform trade-studies and documents the design by writing SSDD, ICDs, SRS;
  7. Perform requirement analysis, traceability and maintenance of requirements;
  8. Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system;
  9. Develop design concepts and generates technical proposal in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ);
  10. Attend and participate in customer design reviews and acceptance events;
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Physics, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years of experience designing and engineering IMMS solutions either in a Naval, government or industry role;
  • Demonstrated know-how of Combat sensor and weapon market for Patrol Boat and/or OPV size vessel;
  • Excellent knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, standards and best practices; Working experience in network design and architecture;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Familiarity with requirements and verification management tools such as DOORS;
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a location relevant security clearance;
