Job Description

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others on their journey to health and recovery. As a Spinal Rehabilitation Health Care Assistant, you will play a crucial part in supporting patients in their rehabilitation process, assisting them in regaining strength, mobility, and independence. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as an integral member of a team, supporting other staff, always treating everyone with respect and acting in the best interest of patients.
  • To answer the telephone and take accurate messages, chaperoning patients, escorting patients, and running errands.
  • To ensure daily cleaning task lists are completed making sure the environment is clean, tidy, clutter-free, and welcoming.
  • To communicate effectively with all appropriate colleagues regarding the delivery of patient care, and as delegated by the nurse in charge.
  • To carry out a range of advanced and basic practical and clinical skills for which you have been trained and deemed competent.

Person Specification

  • Previous clinical healthcare experience
  • Grade 2 Maths and English or Level 2 Functional Skills
  • Completed Care Certificate
  • Level 3 qualification in Health or Health and Social Care
  • Experience of caring for people with a Spinal Cord Injury
