Job Summary
MacGregor Black is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and facilitate line change-overs to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the engineering department's strategic plan, aligning with the company's overall vision.
- Monitor and maintain production Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet site Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the engineering environment, driving continuous growth and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and factory-wide systems for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support the planning and execution of capital engineering projects.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
- Preferably, experience in the FMCG industry, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
- Educated to ONC level or equivalent, with a bias towards Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
- Desirable skills include experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Predictive Maintenance (PPM), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Working Conditions
The role involves working 12-hour shifts, with a 4-on, 4-off schedule. The salary is circa £40,000 per annum, plus benefits.
