Service Technician / Crane Maintenance Specialist

Findapprenticeships.co - Jobboard is seeking a skilled Service Technician / Crane Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Service Technician / Crane Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, including ports and harbours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment at client sites, including ports and harbours.
  • Conduct repairs and inspections on a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of various client mechanical equipment.
  • Adhere to all site Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
  • Mitigate any potential environmental risks during tasks, ensuring all safety measures are applied, particularly in offshore settings.
  • Travel outside the UK and Ireland as required to support other departments or for training purposes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Service Technician, Service Engineer, Crane Technician, Crane engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
  • Working within the marine, port & harbour crane industry.
  • Commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.
  • A technical electrical/ hydraulic qualification, apprentice trained, HNC,HND, degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license.
