About the HGV Technician Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our client's team. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues.
- Perform general servicing and pre-planned maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests as needed.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and present them in a clean and safe manner.
- Correct running defects and perform general HGV Technician duties.
Requirements:
- Hold an in-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
- Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
- Be a fully skilled HGV Technician with industry-recognized qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance, and repair.
- Have previous experience as an HGV Technician.
