We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production and Development DBA MySQL Team Lead to join our growing Data Platform Team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and development of critical PostgreSQL and MySQL enterprise database systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide a team of DBAs, offering technical expertise and mentorship.
  • Assist the development team in query optimization, software deployment, and contribute to database design and development.
  • Manage and support PostgreSQL and MySQL platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Handle various administration tasks such as backup, recovery, index maintenance, and replication.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, addressing critical database issues promptly.
  • Monitor database performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with other teams to optimize queries.
  • Provide technical support for database environments and applications, including installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years as a PostgreSQL and MySQL DBA Team Lead
  • Extensive experience in development and production environments
  • Proven track record in database design, optimization, and performance tuning
  • 3+ years of working with AWS or AZURE
  • Proficiency in stored procedures, query optimization, and enhancing code quality
  • Experience with Linux/Unix scripting and infrastructure management is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve system issues efficiently
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
