Job Title: Specialist Doctor in Sexual & Reproductive Health

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Sexual & Reproductive Health to join our team at Highland Sexual Health. The successful candidate will have significant experience in SRH and a strong interest in career development, increasing both subspecialist experiences, teaching skills, and managerial responsibilities.

About the Role:

Highland Sexual Health provides a comprehensive range of services, including Sexual & Reproductive Health, HIV medicine, Genitourinary Medicine (GUM), Gender Identity, and Menopause. The service offers open access, confidential integrated sexual health care, such as STI management and contraception, as well as access via formal referral for specialist and complex care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex sexual health needs
  • Develop and implement subspecialist services, including HIV medicine and Genitourinary Medicine
  • Contribute to the development of teaching and training programs for medical staff
  • Participate in managerial responsibilities, including service development and quality improvement

Requirements:

The successful candidate must be fully registered with the GMC and have at least ten years of clinical experience post-registration and six years in community SRH specialty. They must also hold the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health (DFSRH), the Letters of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques (LoC IUT), and Subdermal Implants (LoC SDI), and be a FSRH registered trainer.

Working Arrangements:

The post is based mainly at Raigmore Hospital, with eight sessions available over four days. There is no on-call or out-of-hours commitment for this post.
