Specialist Doctor in Highland Sexual Health

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Sexual & Reproductive Health to join our team at Highland Sexual Health. The successful candidate will have significant experience in SRH and a strong interest in career development, increasing both subspecialist experiences, teaching skills, and managerial responsibilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a comprehensive range of services including Sexual & Reproductive Health, HIV medicine, Genitourinary Medicine (GUM), Gender Identity, and Menopause. The service provides open access, confidential integrated sexual health care such as STI management and contraception, as well as access via formal referral for specialist and complex care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex sexual health needs
  • Develop and implement subspecialist experiences, teaching skills, and managerial responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies

Requirements

The successful candidate must be fully registered with the GMC and have completed at least ten years of clinical experience post-registration and six years in community SRH specialty. The candidate must also hold the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health (DFSRH), the Letters of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques (LoC IUT), and Subdermal Implants (LoC SDI), and be a FSRH registered trainer.
