Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Employment Advisor at The Salvation Army. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a critical role in coordinating an open-access Employment Plus Local service, assisting individuals in addressing barriers to finding and sustaining employment or becoming digitally included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, secure, and help sustain appropriate work opportunities for unemployed persons within the local community.
  • Engage, train, and manage a team of volunteers, as required.
  • Develop and maintain close working partnerships with Homelessness Services, Community Services, and Corps to support those in the community experiencing unemployment.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the local labour market and significant experience in Employer Engagement.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality services to people suffering unemployment.
  • Proven ability to be self-directing, planning, and prioritizing own workload.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A current driving license and access to a vehicle.
