Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Premier Group Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Burton upon Trent, Derbyshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing engineering documents and 3D designs using CAD software, as well as generating BOMs and liaising with colleagues on engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems
  • Produce detailed engineering documents and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills in mechanical design and engineering
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
  • Excellent 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks or Inventor)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining and fabrication
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
