Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Macstaff. As a Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
- Perform load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and coordinate with other trades to ensure optimal system performance.
- Review external design solutions and conduct site inspections.
- Provide technical support to the project team.
- Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer's requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and emerging technologies.
- Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.
- HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Proficient using CAD/Revit.
- Proficient using HVAC software.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
- Professional membership would be advantageous.
