Maintenance Services Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Maintenance Services Director to lead our property maintenance services team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services, managing large teams, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance industry, with expertise in both public and private sectors. They will have in-depth knowledge of health and safety practices, particularly within social housing and the general construction industry.
The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and supervise trade and multi-trade operatives, while also influencing stakeholders and producing accurate technical information.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing compliance maintenance services, ensuring 100% compliance and safety for all customers. They will also oversee health and safety compliance across all operations, ensuring policies are implemented to protect employees and customers.
The Maintenance Services Director will work closely with the Assistant Director of Commercial Services to improve and grow the service. They will also be responsible for producing weekly and monthly reports on contract performance, ensuring all targets are met or exceeded.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a customer-focused approach, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and quality outcomes. They will also need to have a strong understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The ideal candidate will be a resilient and adaptable individual, thriving under pressure with excellent project planning and organisational abilities. They will also need to have a successful track record of working with multiple clients and managing various accounts.
The Maintenance Services Director will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and developing a large team of trade and multi-trade operatives, ensuring efficient performance aligned with business objectives.
The role requires a recognised housing qualification of level 4 or above (Chartered Institute of Housing or equivalent qualification). The successful candidate will also need to have a strong understanding of the company's values and the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
