At HZI, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. Your role directly contributes to turning waste into valuable resources: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate operational, financial, safety, and environmental risks.
  2. Action Plans and Strategies: Develop action plans to mitigate high-priority risks, including preventive maintenance schedules, safety protocols, and contingency plans.
  3. O&M Mobilization and Governance: Lead the mobilization of O&M activities, ensuring smooth project handover and optimal ongoing plant operation. Ensure the implementation of a structured operating model, governance framework, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
  4. Safety Measures and Compliance: Ensure that all safety measures are in place, including comprehensive safety training programs, protective equipment, and emergency response plans. Stay informed of regulatory changes that could affect plant operations and risk management, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  5. Maintenance Strategy and Optimization: Collaborate with O&M teams to optimize maintenance strategies, balancing costs with risks to maximize reliability and performance.

This role is designed for professionals with significant experience in power plant operations, O&M leadership, and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) business principles.
  • Proficiency in using risk assessment tools like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and similar methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and the ability to apply this knowledge to O&M operations.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, with proficiency in additional languages being an advantage.
