Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced academic leader to oversee our Sixth Form, providing visionary leadership and operational management to drive student success and academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading curriculum development, managing teams, and promoting inclusive practices. They will be passionate about education, committed to excellence, and able to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced curricula, working closely with teachers and support staff
  • Lead the Sixth Form team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure outstanding student outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusivity, equity, and diversity within the Sixth Form community
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance teaching and learning practices, contributing to national best practice
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of financial and human resources
  • Line manage Heads of Department, providing coaching and mentoring to develop their skills and expertise

Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000, dependent on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including access to extensive professional development opportunities, good transport links, training grants for qualifications, generous pension schemes, and a discount of up to 50% on fees for children at GDST schools.
