About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of structured activities and assisting in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions.

Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will build strong relationships with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. You will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Supporting service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintaining accurate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.

Requirements

  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
  • Experience in a similar environment and Mental Health.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

About the Team

You will be working at Brighton & Hove Clinic, part of Elysium Healthcare, providing a CAMHS Tier 4 service for young people aged 12-18 years with a prime diagnosis of eating disorders and who may have other mental health conditions. Our service combines NICE guidelines recommended therapies, creating bespoke programmes that provide person-centred care to support each person's physical, medical, and mental health needs.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with individuals and their families to create care plans and risk assessments. You will empower individuals to manage and improve their health through their treatment within the community.
