We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Inspector to join our team at Morson Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-plant inspections and condition assessments using various visual and NDT techniques.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-plant inspections and condition assessments using visual and NDT techniques.
  • Produce high-quality technical documents of inspections, including recommendations.
  • Develop proposals for inspection and monitoring techniques and tooling to access difficult environments.
  • Provide expert advice on plant inspection tools and techniques, condition monitoring, and lifetime assessment.

Requirements:

  • A degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering, or HND/HNC with significant experience.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude to safety, security, and EHSS&Q requirements.
  • Ability to understand and solve customer-related technical issues with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience of writing high-quality technical reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

Desirable:

  • A PhD in a relevant materials science or engineering discipline.
  • Some existing knowledge of Sellafield reprocessing, waste treatment, and decommissioning operations.
