**Role Purpose**:

- Perform Quality Assurance inspections to ensure conformity to Client Specifications, Regulations and Engineering Standards.

**What you'll be doing**
As a Quality Inspector**,** **you will have the following accountabilities;
- Accepts incoming materials to ensure conformity to Client Specifications, relevant Engineering Standards and Specifications by conducting visual/measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products; recording quality results.
- Assist in preparation of documentation required to enable the successful handover of plant equipment and electrical systems from construction to commissioning.
- Accepts the in-process construction of electrical systems by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating any disparities back to the construction supervisor and Line Manager.
- Accepts the finished product prior to handover from construction to commissioning by confirming conformity to the Clients Specifications and relevant Engineering Standards; conducting visual and measurement tests, any re-work needing to be completed will be communicated back to the construction supervisor.
- Assist in developing specific project / task quality plans

**Who we're looking for**
The following qualities/experience are essential:

- Ability to build strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers
- Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
- Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner
- Must have a methodical and strategic approach to the inspection of materials and recording of results.
- Must have knowledge of the relevant engineering standards (BS7671).
- Good at building relationships and able to influence effectively
- Can demonstrate initiative and resilience
- 3+ Years experience in Electrical Industry; possessing knowledge of various electrical systems and their functions.
- City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection and Testing
- CSCS / JIB card or equivalent
- ISO 9001 lead / internal auditors - desirable, for quality engineer role.
