Business Process Coordinator

Wise May is seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our busy Operations team in the City. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the Operations team, while also supporting the Underwriters in administrative activities related to the underwriting process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance operations, with experience working with business software such as Business Objects. They will also possess advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and Power Query, and have excellent leadership and communication skills.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, with hybrid working options available. The estimated salary for this role is £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Operations team of 5 staff members
- Support Underwriters in administrative activities related to underwriting process
- Manage contractual data, including maintenance of process documentation
- Process insurance and account bookings
- Handle claims, including clarifying discrepancies with underwriters, claim experts, cedents, and brokers
- Manage cash flow, including setting up client bank accounts in accounting system and processing payments
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and Power Query
- Experience working with business software such as Business Objects
