Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Editor to join our team and lead the content creation for our food publishing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all content across our print and online platforms, working closely with our design team, and ensuring that our products are commercially successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and edit all content across our print and online platforms, including our monthly and bi-monthly magazines, annual publication, and websites.
- Develop and implement a content strategy that meets the needs of our readers and advertisers.
- Work closely with our design team to ensure that our products are visually appealing and meet our brand standards.
- Write news stories and features for both our magazine and website, conducting interviews with industry experts and thought leaders.
- Organize workload through our in-house team and freelance contributors, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
- Plan and execute content for our events, working closely with our commercial team to ensure that our products are commercially successful.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of our content and engagement metrics.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an editor, deputy editor, or section editor in a similar industry.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality content.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience working with content management systems and creating engaging email newsletters.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the food industry is an advantage but not essential.
