At Birtwistles Food Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team in the South of the UK. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in the Fresh Meat/Food Service sector, looking to take their career to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing clients, building strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. They will work closely with our National Account Managers to grow sales in existing and nominated accounts, and will be accountable for finding potential new customers and converting them into clients.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  2. Work with National and Regional Account Managers to grow and develop existing accounts
  3. Prospect potential new clients and convert them into increased business
  4. Cold calling within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  5. Research and build relationships with new clients
  6. Presentation of new products and services to enhance existing relationships
  7. Collaboration with technical staff and other colleagues to meet customer needs
  8. Identification of opportunities with existing customers to increase sales
  9. Development of the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators using market and competitor knowledge
  10. Submission of weekly reports with accurate data
  11. Tracking and recording of account activity and closure of deals to meet targets
