Overview

The Young Camden Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing accessible performing arts opportunities for young people in London. Our summer school, 'Summer Stage', offers a unique chance for 13-17 year olds to develop their creative skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Salary and Benefits

The programme runs over 6 sessions, with each session lasting approximately 3 hours. Participants are paid £60 per session, making it a low-cost opportunity for young people to gain valuable experience in the performing arts.

Job Description

Our 'Young Creatives' programme is designed for those who are new to drama projects and want to try out their creative skills in a supportive environment. We welcome participants with mild to moderate learning needs or access requirements, and our experienced team will work closely with them to ensure their participation is enjoyable and rewarding.

We offer a comprehensive training programme that covers various aspects of theatre-making, including acting, singing, and dancing. Our expert tutors will guide participants through interactive workshops, rehearsals, and performances, helping them to build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and create meaningful connections with their peers.

In addition to our core programme, we also offer SEND-friendly activities and adaptations to ensure that all participants feel included and supported throughout the process.

Key Skills and Qualifications

No prior experience or qualifications are required to participate in our programme. However, we encourage applicants to be open-minded, enthusiastic, and willing to take on new challenges.
