About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Kido. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, providing exceptional care and education to our children, and supporting the development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality childcare and education
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and education provided, making recommendations for improvement
  • Support the planning and organization of staffing schedules and holiday rotas
  • Handle administrative procedures, including registrations and place allocations
  • Assess and record the progress and achievements of children
  • Implement effective systems of observation to ensure no milestone goes unnoticed
  • Support the development of staff, including training and coaching
Requirements
  • Relevant childcare qualification, level 3 minimum
  • Experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or Deputy Manager in a nursery setting
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
