About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Translational Research Technician to join our Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of projects within the ECMC portfolio.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting all aspects of tissue collection activities, ensuring timely and efficient processing of samples in accordance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) standards. You will also provide support for the maintenance of GCLP labs, including equipment monitoring and ordering, as well as training and support for staff and students involved in handling human tissues.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, such as cancelled or postponed sample collections. Experience working with human tissues and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements are highly desirable.
