Job Title: Workshop Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for performing servicing, fault diagnostic, and rectification tasks on suction excavators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planned maintenance and fault diagnostics
  • Strong electrical diagnostic skills and ability to work on own initiative
  • Fault rectification and record keeping
  • Remedial works and service and repair of remote-control systems
  • Research and development tasks and assisting work on a customer's site
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and functional condition
  • Ensuring all areas of work are maintained in a safe and tidy condition
  • Completing written and computer-based reports
  • Complying with all aspects of the company policies and following published procedures
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience working within the service industry in mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Strong electrical diagnostic skills and experience working on PLC controlled systems
  • Ability to work on own initiative and experience in fault-finding and repair of electrical control circuits/PLCs
  • A recognised formal apprenticeship in addition to City and Guilds or similar qualification
  • Commitment to working safely and in accordance with the company's health and safety procedures
