Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to support students during a critical point in their education journey. As a Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member, you will work closely with pupils and their families off-site, providing guidance, support, and a positive first impression of our academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Initial Engagement: Establish trust with pupils and families following permanent exclusion, understanding their immediate needs and providing support.
  2. Specialist Support: Work with pupils in their homes or other agreed locations to provide interim educational and emotional support until they transition to our site.
  3. Caseload Management: Adapt to a frequently changing caseload as pupils are referred daily, ensuring timely and effective support for all new referrals.
  4. Parental Support: Assist families during this challenging time, offering reassurance and introducing them to the academy's approach and resources.
  5. Collaboration: Liaise with the wider team to ensure a smooth and positive transition for pupils to the academy site.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting students and families during transitions or challenging times, particularly in education or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with pupils, families, and academy staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils.
