Waste Management Team Member

This is an exciting opportunity to join SUEZ as a Waste Management Team Member at our Launceston Transfer Station. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management processes.
Job Summary- Carry out duties individually or as part of a team to control, transfer, and stockpile waste and recyclables.
- Operate mobile plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Manage traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles.
- Cooperate directly with customers and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure site operations meet the required standards.
- Provide cover for annual leave and on occasion help cover weekends.
- Undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure, and operation of site machinery.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is willing to obtain a working knowledge of the site licence/permit system. You should have a flexible approach and be able to work in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Operational experience preferred but not required, as training will be given.
- A prior waste/recycling or similar process environment highly advantageous.
- An excellent understanding and approach to health & safety.
- Good IT skills.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £30,336.64 per annum, based on a 47.5 hour week at £12.24 per hour.
