Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion. As an Outreach Tutor, you will work with children who require additional support due to Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one teaching and support to children with SEN, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Visit homes and public spaces to deliver personalized educational support, adapting to different environments and situations.
  • Work with children from challenging backgrounds, managing and supporting those with dysregulated behaviour.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), ideally with a background in SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of children with Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties, and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy when working with children with SEN.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments, with a valid driving license preferred.
