We are seeking a skilled Search Engine Optimization Manager to lead our SEO efforts and drive business growth.

About the Company

Our client is a successful eCommerce business in the construction market, providing tools, materials, and equipment to 20,000 'DIYers' and tradespeople per year.

The Role

This is a vital position within our team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of Search Engine Optimisation at both a strategic and hands-on level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy that meets our commercial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Developer to create a website that meets the evolving expectations of search engines and consumers.
  • Develop high-quality, long-form content that supports our SEO efforts and engages potential customers.
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for growth and provide insights to the Lead Buyer.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of our Organic Search channel daily to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Search Engine Optimisation, preferably in a B2C and eCommerce organisation.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of SEO, including technical optimisation, content creation, link acquisition, and brand development.
  • Confidence with platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog, and Ahrefs (or similar).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information concisely.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
