About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work in a secondary school in Manchester, supporting students with behavioural challenges and helping them grow academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using Team Teach strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum, focusing on core subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Build positive relationships with students, inspiring them to engage with their learning.
- Maintain a supportive and empathetic approach in all interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide targeted support for students.
- Contribute to tracking and reporting on student progress.
What You'll Need
- Team Teach training and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to track and report on student progress.
