About the Role:GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to work in a special school in Redbridge. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive impact on their lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and group tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to develop personalised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Encourage and motivate students, helping them to build self-confidence and achieve their academic goals.
- Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure effective learning and student growth.
- Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience working as a tutor, teacher, or teaching assistant in a SEN setting, with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and how to support students with varying abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach depending on the student's needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome their challenges.
