SEN Maths Tutor Job Description

We are seeking a passionate SEN Maths Tutor to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an SEN Maths Tutor, you will work with students who have special educational needs, providing personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions to help them build confidence and improve their numeracy skills.

About the Role

The SEN Maths Tutor will focus on using individualized teaching methods and fostering a positive learning atmosphere to help students achieve academic success. You will work with students aged 5 to 16 with a variety of learning needs, providing customized lessons that cater to their individual needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN tutoring experience
  • Proven experience supporting students with SEN specifically ADHD and Dyslexia
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and parents
  • A clear DBS check
  • Legal right to work in the UK
