Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nursing Associate to undertake further study with the University of Chester to become a Registered Nurse. The programme commences in January and is delivered using a full-time study model.

As a Registered Nursing Associate, you will be required to maintain your registration throughout this period of time. During the initial phase of the training programme, all work activities should be under direct guidance and supervision of the registered practitioner. As the training programme progresses, following discussion and agreement with mentors and supervisors, supervision and guidance will be both direct and indirect.

Main Duties of the Job

The programme is designed to develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to qualify as a Registered Nurse. You will rotate through a variety of placements to gain experience and develop your clinical skills. You will be required to keep in touch with your line manager and attend tripartite meetings with your employer and university to ensure your learning and attendance is on track.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths or ESFA approved equivalent (GCSE Grade A-C/4-9)
  • Need to complete and pass all course modules and clinical competencies within contract period
  • Basic IT skills
  • Effectively communicate with patients and team members
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Open to other learning opportunities within the Trust
  • Team working and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Patient focused
  • Positive and caring attitude
  • Caring, compassionate and motivated
  • Reliable and trustworthy
