As a Safety Engineer, you will work on large, complex rail projects under the direction of our senior team, providing system safety support and guidance to our clients. This role provides a fantastic career opportunity to develop your skills and experience in system safety engineering, while working on some of the most challenging and complex rail projects in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing system safety support and guidance to clients on large, complex rail projects.
  2. Leading roles on smaller projects, working collaboratively with our clients and internal teams.
  3. Planning and supporting Hazard Identification and/or Risk Assessment workshops.
  4. Preparing System Definitions, Safety Plans, Hazard Records, and Safety Justification Reports.
  5. Working with clients and internal teams to develop designs, technical standards, specifications, and requirements for rail projects.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in a technical engineering related discipline, or extensive relevant experience. Relevant post-graduate experience in system safety engineering is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will also have familiarity with Engineering Safety Management (e.g. iESM or Yellow Book) and knowledge of the Common Safety Method on Risk Evaluation and Assessment (CSM-RA) Regulation on UK rail projects.
