Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Rail Health and Safety Professional to join our team. This role will play a vital part in supporting our business management systems on-site, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support and manage the business management system across sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Work closely with the HSQE Manager for the eastern region to drive improvement initiatives and best practices.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure teams operate safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify issues, provide solutions, and influence positive change on-site through proactive risk management and incident prevention strategies.
  • Manage and conduct internal audits to maintain and update the HSQE System in line with legislation and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the rail industry, with a proven track record in health and safety management.
  • NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications, or equivalent certifications.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations applicable to the rail industry.
  • A full UK driving licence for frequent site visits.
